Took me several hours, but with the right tools, install went perfectly. This is a VERY precisely machined cutterhead. It worked perfectly right after I fired it up the first time. All the inserts were seated perfectly and left a finish that was smooth as glass on a few very hard test pieces of wood. Highly recommend this product!!

The package arrived before estimated time. There has been no complaints so far, the helical cutterhead is a huge improvement in the performance of the planer with lower noise levels, less vibration and overall smoother finished.

Bought the helical replacement cutterhead for my JJ6 jointer/planer recently, love it. The cuts are super smooth with no tearing of the grain even on knotty alder. Plus it makes the machine run smoother and the cuts are much quieter. Highly recommend getting this.

The cutter head was relatively easy to install. It works exceptionally good. Freight was amazing - 6 days from ordering to it being delivered (China to Canada). Highly recommended!!!

Only used a couple of times. Will probably build a sled to minimize snipe. None on first short board. As the boards got longer had a little. Weight of board pushes down infeed table. Cuts though are very smooth! Love the quality; huge improvement over my 2 blade planer.

The helical cutterhead was the best money I have ever spent! I was amazed on how big of a difference it made on my wood planer and how it cut my noise in half. You guys make an awesome product!!

Shipping was quick and installation straight ahead and really nice packaging. The included directions with pictures were also very good, but also plenty of Youtube videos for additional info if needed. I have planed less than 100 ft since installation, but results so far are really good.

I purchased this to install on my new planer, didn’t have the chance to install until I’d used the OEM cutter head and what a contrast the helical head made. Such a smooth finish and didn’t seem to change the load on the planer when cutting unlike the straight blades did.
Recommend this product but fiddly to install as each cutter needs to be fitted individually after the head is installed in the planer.

Yes, so far it cuts very well. I would look at the spindle lock carefully before removing the original cutter as it can get bent, it should be removed before the swap. It is really just as loud, ear protection is required.
