This 20-inch (504mm) helical cutterhead is designed for Sherwood TBW-508 THU-508 20-inch thicknessers. This 6-row helical cutterhead has 130 carbide inserts, allowing for perfect surfacing quality and faster feed speed. 

Featuring
  • The better wood surface finish on both hard and softwood.
  • The shear cut virtually eliminates tear-outs and kick-backs.
  • 40x lifetime from our proud carbide insert.
  • Producing much smaller chips and your dust collection system will function more efficiently.
  • Changing blades is effortless and does not require adjustment.
  • No need to re-sharpen the blades any longer.
  • At least 50% noise reduction.
  • To properly align the inserts, please tighten them to approximately 6 Newton-meter torque.
  • Replacement knife: 15x15x2.5mm-30°-R150 carbide insert knives. 
  • In case you're unable to locate a cutter head that matches your machine model, we also provide an option for a custom cutter head.
